WHO WE ARE
We are a R&D company focusing on developing groundbreaking science and technology for fulfilling unmet need in health and medicine. We are developing innovative technologies for diagnosis and therapy for patients with severe retinal/neurodegenerative diseases.

Our mission is to discover, incubate and translate next generation biomedical technologies, empowered by the experienced and dedicated team of scientists and support staffs. Our scientific endeavour is supported by a strong management and commercialization team with extensive experience.

Sulagna Bhattacharya
  
   Ms. Sulagna Bhattacharya (CEO) has decades of experience in management consulting with specialties in business Intelligence and risk management. Her expertise includes market research, product and business development, and planning including budgeting and forecasting. She played a key role in seven full life cycle project implementations including 2 merger acquisitions. She is winner of Healthcare Heroes award in 2019.    
Anthony Togba
     
Mr. Anthony Togba (CFO) has about 30 years of professional experience in finance, banking and accounting, and he has held several leadership positions. Anthony is a CPA licensed in Texas and California. He is also a Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and holds an MBA from the Arizona State University.
    
Samarendra Mohanty, Ph. D.
   
Dr. Mohanty (Founder/President) has decades of experience on Biomedical technologies in Asia, Europe and US.  He has authored over 200 publications and patents.  He is the PI on major grant from NEI's Audacious Goal Initiative and Bioengineering Research grants and serves on the editorial board of journals and chairs international conference on optogenetics. He is winner of 2019 Healthcare Heroes award.

Kissaou Tchedre, Ph. D.
  
   Dr. Kissaou Tchedre is Biomedical Scientist with decade of experience in commercial Ocular Medical Device development at Menicon,  a Japanese Pharma/medical devices company. He got his MS in molecular biology and Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at the UNTHSC.  He did Postdoc at Harvard Medical School. He has International R&D and business experience in Japan, France, and Switzerland.
    
Weldon Wright, M. D.
      Dr. Weldon Wright, M.D. obtained his BS in EE at SMU and M.D. at UTSW, following which he has carried out Residency and Fellowships at UTSW, UCLA and John Hopkins. He is an experienced clinician with more than 30 years of experience in patient management and clinical research. He has evaluated and treated a broad range of developmental and degenerative eye diseases. He has served as PI of multiple NEI funded projects.
Subrata Batabyal, Ph. D.
   Dr. Subrata Batabyal’s scientific expertise spans across the areas of Biophysics, Biochemistry, Optics, Biomedical Instrumentation and Optogenetics. He earned PhD in Chemistry with focus on ultrafast laser spectroscopy to investigate biomolecular interaction.  He is working on optical gene delivery and label-free detection of retinal and cortical neuronal activity for early diagnosis of visual disorders.     
Darryl Narcisse, M.D.
Dr. Darryl Narcisse is a medical graduate who attended Medical School at San Juan Bautista School of medicine. His background includes a degree in biotechnology and research in Neurogenesis at Arizona State University. He is working on Neuromodulation and  activity imaging using excitation-free optical methods.    
Sang Hoon Kim, Ph. D.
Dr. Sang hoon Kim, Ph. D. has scientific expertise in optical imaging, spectroscopy, and interferometric technique. He earned his PhD in biomedical engineering and Bachelor of science in biomedical engineering and physics from Duke university. During his PhD tenure, Dr. Kim focused on development of multimodal optical systems guided by optical coherence tomography (OCT) to improve clinical diagnosis. Dr. Kim is interested in enhancing Nanoscope’s  optical imaging platforms. 
Adnan Dibas, Ph. D.
  ​Dr. Adnan Dibas received PhD in Biochemistry from UNT Health Science Center and did Postdoctoral fellowship at St. Paul Medical center.  He has over 20 years of experience in
ocular research and a long-standing interest in therapies for glaucoma and neurodegeneration.
 Prior to joining Nanoscope, he was a professor at UNT HSC and has been Principal Investigator of grants from Brightfocus foundation and Galucoma Research Foundation.
   


Ananta Ayyagari, Ph. D.
After completing doctoral degree, Dr. Ayyagari carried out Postdoctoral fellowship at Georgia Institute of Technology. Her expertise include different types of drug and gene delivery systems. She is working on advancement of optogenetic technology for vision restoration and neural imaging,
Michael Carlson, BS
   Mr. Michael Carlson graduated in Biomedical Engnieering from University of Texas at Dallas. He is working on developing tools for control, automation of biomedical devices and analysis of data/images.   
Houssam Al-Saad, BS
Mr. Housam Alsaad completed BS in Kinesiology and worked as Research Assistant and Surgeon Technician before joining Nanoscope team. He is working on behavioral and functional assays to evaluate therapeutic benefits of Nanoscope's gene therapy candidates.
